Organization schema identifies who is behind a site. It typically includes the organization's name, URL, logo, a description and links to its official profiles on other platforms through sameAs. It is defined in Schema.org and normally written as JSON-LD.
It is usually added once, site-wide, and then referenced from other markup, for example as the publisher in article schema. That keeps the identity consistent and helps search engines connect your content, brand and profiles into one entity.
The details must be true and match your visible site: the same name, a working logo URL and real profile links. Outdated details are a common problem after a rebrand. As with all structured data, it helps machines understand you but does not guarantee any special result in search.
