An AI-ready website removes the obstacles between an AI system and your content. The pages load without needing a login or heavy scripting to show their text, the important content is in the HTML, access rules in robots.txt match your intent, and each page has a clear purpose.
Good foundations are the usual technical SEO ones: a clean XML sitemap, a sensible canonical URL, fast responses, working internal links and accurate structured data. On top of that, write AI-Readable content and decide your stance on each AI crawler.
You may also publish an llms.txt file, but treat it as optional. It is a proposed convention, and Google has said it is not needed for its AI features.
