FAQPage Schema

Structured data that marks up a page of questions and their single published answers, using the FAQPage type from Schema.org.

FAQPage markup describes a page where the publisher lists questions and gives one official answer to each, written in JSON-LD using Schema.org terms. It is meant for real FAQ content that is also visible on the page, not for hidden text.

An important update: Google used to show expandable FAQ results in search for eligible pages, limited since 2023 to a small set of authoritative sites, and stopped showing FAQ rich results entirely on 7 May 2026. Google has said the markup itself is harmless to leave in place and that it can still help understanding of the page, and other search engines and AI tools may read it. So do not expect an expanded listing from it.

If your page has genuine questions and answers, marking them up remains reasonable, but the stronger investment is writing clear, direct answers on the page itself.
